Croatian Railways Commence a Project Worth 620 mil EUR
Croatian Railways Infrastructure announced a tender for works on second line of railway Dugo Selo – Novska. Project includes total reconstruction of existing line and construction of second line, as well as the modernization of key stations and stops. Denivelation and removal of most railway-road level crossings will be done, except several key points. Project includes implementation of new traffic control and signaling and safety devices, as well as the modernization of electric power infrastructure subsystem.
After the works are concluded, trains will operate on this section with speeds of up to 160 km/h. Section which is 83 kilometers long will be modernized through a project worth 620 million EUR, co-financed by the funds of European Union, through Connecting Europe Facility and Competitiveness and Cohesion OP.
Deadline for submissions of offers is 8 April 2025, and the conclusion of works is predicted in five years after the start.
