RailBelgrade 2023 – 10th ICROMA Conference
Belgrade, Serbia, April 25th – 28th, 2023
RailBelgrade 2023 is the 10th International Conference on Railway Operations Modelling and Analysis (ICROMA). It will promote interdisciplinary discussions in the railway planning and operations research area by combining the expertise of academics and professionals. RailBelgrade 2023 will give researchers, consultants, and industrial practitioners the opportunity to meet, present their latest research, exchange know-how, and discuss current developments and applications.
RailBelgrade 2023 is jointly organized by the International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR) and University of Belgrade – Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering. ICROMA is a leading academic cycle of conferences dealing with various aspects of planning, simulation and optimisation approaches in railways. The previous nine ICROMA conferences were held at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands (2005); Leibniz University Hannover, Germany (2007); ETH Zürich, Switzerland (2009); University of Rome, Italy (2011); Technical University of Denmark, Denmark (2013); Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan (2015); IFSTTAR, France (2017); Linköping University, Sweden (2019); and Beijing Jiaotong University, China (2021).
The association IAROR was founded in 2005 and has currently more than 400 members. IAROR combines the expertise of academic and professional railway research with the aim of enhancing the quality of service for railway passengers and customers, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of capacity management, timetabling, traffic management and ensuring the safety of railway operations. The association contributes to the development of new international standards for railway capacity and traffic management by integration of the state-of-the-art from different scientific disciplines as engineering, mathematics, physics, economics and computer science. IAROR is a Network of Excellence in the field of railway operations research. IAROR aims at becoming an acknowledged advisor to governments, railway infrastructure managers, train operating companies and the industrial suppliers with regard to the development and evaluation of research programs, innovation strategies, directives and norms for railway operations.
The conference is organized under the patronage of Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
