Applications opened for trade mission to United Kingdom
Railway Cluster for Southeast Europe, in cooperation with world largest railway cluster Rail Alliance from United Kingdom invites companies from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Northern Macedonia and Slovenia to apply for organized trade mission to United Kingdom until July 20.
Visit to the United Kingdom is planned between September 6 and 10.
During this visit, partners from Rail Alliance will provide companies from the SEE region contacts with most significant railway operators and companies in charge of largest railway investments and projects in the United Kingdom, and the central event will be the visit to the Railtex/infrarail fair, which will be, according to the number of exhibitors and activities, the largest event yet in the UK (more on fair can be found at https://www.uk-railhub.com/2021/en/).
A visit to the leading world center for railway research and education of the University of Birmingham – BCRRE in which the first hydrogen train active on the UK railways was made.
Visit is an excellent opportunity for regional railway suppliers to make new business contacts with potential buyers, but also for managers of regional railway companies and institutions who will be able to witness firsthand the functioning of modern railways and a number of new technologies.
Investments in the railways planned in the next 15 years in United Kingdom are among the highest in the workld. Investments in the High Speed 2 alone, a high speed rail that should connect London with Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, amount to close to 88.7 bilion pounds.
